Client: Bay Area Golf Guide
For this free, ad-supported publication targeted to golfers, Bright Productions built a dynamic online contest that doubles as a data collection tool. Golf Guide uses the collected information to promote ad sales to golf courses.
Golfers complete an online form each time they play one of the sponsored courses, with the person who plays the most different courses each month winning a prize. Each time a visitor completes the form, the site presents a survey questionnaire about the course most recently played.
Each course manager receives a monthly e-mail with the survey results for his or her course.
This entire system operates without any direct action by the client. The program automatically:

Stores the keyed information from the questionnaire in a database residing on the Web server;

Generates a formatted PDF file for each course on a monthly basis from the database; and
|
|
|
E-mails the client a link to the PDF document for easy downloading.
